Early Linen Sheet
Early Linen Sheet
Share
A large undyed linen sheet, center seam, 78 x 82 inches (made of two 39 inch widths sewn together by hand); with initials and a number, possibly indicating a person "LH" (owner and/or maker) and perhaps a date, "1791". This is plausible as the sheet appears to date from the later 18th or early 19th C. Very good to excellent condition: no holes, repairs, or wear; scattered very light stains / discoloration as shown. Good natural linen color, including some natural striping.
